Some more pages . . .

So Jenn and I have officially started our class, and while we have not exactly learned any techniques yet, we did get some cute supplies. I am having fun with this. I can't wait to learn some tips and tricks to make my pages even cuter.

I scrapped the first page above using a picture from my cousin's wedding of the girls in Oct. 2007 and the pictures of Ashley are from Halloween of last year, taken while carving pumpkins.

I know every mother has her favorite photos of her children. These are two of mine. I just randomly took them one day and they turned out absolutely adorable. It's amazing how quickly they grow up. Enjoy them while they are young, people will say. I disagree (to a point), the older and sassier my grills get, the more fun I have with them. I love to hang out at home with my monsters and have a lazy day of nothingness.

Easter 2008

These are some of the pictures I scrapped of Easter morning. I forgot to take my camera to the grandparent's house for more photos, but these are by far the cutest anyway. Each of the monsters got two new outfits, sandals, a new swim suit and the Enchanted DVD. Along with plenty of CaNdY!! Easter was fun, but I have to say, I am glad that we are thru the holidays and birthdays for a few months. It's enough to break the bank. :)

Later in the afternoon, after Ashley's piano lesson and some errand running, the busy beauties got hair cuts and hair styling from Kacy. Pose for the camera!

I am amazed at how good these phots turned out, I took them from my camera phone. After hair dos, we came home to do nothing for the rest of the afternoon. Home sweet home!!

Horseback Riding and Hair Dos

So, today, we had quite the busy day. We started out this morning going horse-back riding with the Forbush clan. The girls, Alex and some other friends got to hang out with the horses today. Ashley and Megan absolutley love to ride. Here are some of the photos. Be sure to notice the very stunning pink hat on JD. :)

I am figuring it out...

So here is one of my first pages from the Adobe Photoshop!! Thanks to Kacy and her tutelage. I am so indebted to you!! This program is sure a PITA, but now that I am figuring it out, it's making more and more sense. I am really excited to take this class next week to really do some cute things.

I took this picture of the girls this morning after their bath. One of my favorite moments with the little lambs is right after they are all scrubbed and cleaned up. :)

Dan and his compadres, JD and Jason, are off to the Polar Bear ride this morning. Leaving us girls at home for a quiet morning. These are two pictures I took this morning of my two beautiful tow-heads playing Barbie in their jammies. Sunday mornings are my favorite. Wake up whenever you want, drink lots of coffee and stay in PJ's till noon if you want.

Rest in Peace

With death, comes funeral planning. I am starting to feel like I have had more than my share. Grandma donated her body to the U of U Medical School for research since she died of lung cancer, so there wil not be a burial. She will still have a service which will take place on Tuesday of next week. Since she will not have a grave or a marker, we will put her date of birth and date of death on my mom's marker once it's ordered. This will put them together not only in Heaven, but in their final resting place. Rest in peace my ladies, rest in peace.

It happened today ...

This morning at 3:00 a.m., my dear, sweet beloved grandma Betty passed away. I am so torn, because I am glad she is not suffering anymore but am so sad that she is not here with us anymore.
I have never known such an extraordinary woman before. My grandma was the epitomy of independance. She was a successful business woman in her antique business she ran, she was also an amazing doll-maker. She would make porcelain dolls from scratch. From pouring the molds for the dolls, to baking them in the kilns, to painting their faces, to making their elaborate outfits.

Grandma was also a fighter. She always stood up for what she felt was right, but also for anyone who might try to do her loved ones wrong.
A lot of us in the family joke about Grandma's bull whip. I can think of more than one occasion that she pulled out her trusty whip in order to protect a child's/grandchild's honor.
Grandma - where ever you are tonight, please know how much we all loved and cherished you. You were the best role model a granddaugter could've had. I admired you and loved you more than I even begin to express in words.
I know in my heart, that you and Mom are together now, and are in peace. I know that you are with Jesus and that he is going to be sure that in the end, we are all together again.

I am home with two sick kids today and they are both napping. Wow, a quiet moment to myself. I decided to take a moment and work on a page. These were taken in the spring of last year. They are two of my favorite photos.

My Dear Sweet Grandma

My Grandma Betty was diagnosed with a terminal form of cancer not too long ago and now has not got long left to live. The doctor's are only giving her a few weeks at the longest. Grandma and I are both Leos and are both just alike. I am her oldest grand daughter as well. I am heart broken at the thought of losing her, but I know that my mom is waiting for her at Heaven's gates. I love you Grandma.

Bittersweet

Here is one of my first attempts at this digital scrapbooking. It's proving harder than I thought. But I am learning. These photos were taken last weekend before a friend's daughter's birthday party. I cannot believe how big our girls are getting, not to mention how beautiful. I have been donating some of Megan's old clothes to a friend's 2 year old to - be and am finding it hard to part with the precious little outfits. It's bittersweet, watching your own babies grow up, but having to let go of them a little more each day.
