Happy Birthday Jade

My cousin's daughter, Jade, turned 7 this past weekend. Her mom, Kassie Jo, hired a girl who plays "Giselle" from Enchanted to come and entertain the girls. She did a really good job. She held the girls attention for at least an hour. She sang songs with them, danced, taught them princess etiquette. It was really fun to watch them all interact together. Here are some of the pictures from the day's events.

I also scrapped the page below with a really fun picture that we caught of all four of the cousins.

The Nie Nie Dialogues

I am an avid listener to Radio from Hell, on X96 http://www.x96.com/main/index in the mornings. One feature that I love, is their Ask - A feature. Each Thursday morning, they interview a different person. They've had Ask - A Gay, Ask - A Mason, Ask - A Meth Addict, and most recently Ask - A Roller Derby Girl, and so on and so forth.

Last week, they featured Ask - A Burn Victim. For anyone who is not familiar with Radio From Hello or this feature, please don't get me wrong, this is a serious feature. And, while they have had their assortment of odd interviews, this one really struck me.

They interviewed Christian Nielson, He and his wife, Stephanie Nielson, were injured when their private plane went down Aug. 16 in St. Johns, Ariz., while on their way home to Mesa. Christian, the pilot, was burned on 35 percent of his body, and Stephanie on 83 percent of hers. They were taken to the Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix.

The post below is a link to their blog. It has touched me deeply and I wanted to share it with all of you.
