Front Yard Completion!!

This past weekend, we finally got our front yard finished. Here are some of the pictures. You will notice that there is no lawn. We xeriscaped our front yard - by definition, is landscaping designed specifically for areas that are susceptible to drought, or for properties where water conservation is practiced. Derived from the Greek xeros meaning "dry," the term, xeriscape means literally "dry landscape."

While there are still a few minor details left, it is mostly done. Yeah! Dan has a custom carved stone that he is going to order. It will also serve as a flag pole. There is also still some fencing that will be put in place at a later time.

The day started around 11 a.m. when the rock showed up. Right around 12 cubic yards. That is a lot of rock. With the help of some very ambitious kids and good good friends (Dave, Jennetta, Payden and Derek - and Jason too) we were able to get all of the rock moved within the day. Thanks to everyone for your help. We couldn't have done it without yall!
