Pesky Long - Arms

Pesky Long -Arms - This was a name Dan's dad came up for Megan when she was little, because she was always getting into things when he babysat her.
Megan Jo, our baby, turned 4 today. So, as I sit here tonight and think how quickly my girls are growing up, I got to reminiscing and looking through some of Megan's baby pictures. I found some of my favorites and wanted to post them.
It is sad to think how fast our children grow up, but part of the fun of being a parent, for me any ways to watch them learn and grow, to see them grow into little people of their own.
I can't imagine my life with out my daughters and my family and am so blessed to have them.

From barely weighing 4 pounds at birth to being a larger - than life 4 year old today, happy birthday Pesky Long-Arms!! We love you to pieces.

Happy 4th Birthday Megan Jo!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

~Happy Thanksgiving Be Thankful~

Twas the Nite before Thanksgiving

Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through the kitchen;
I was cooking and baking and moaning' and bitchin'.
I've been here for hours, I can't stop to rest,
This place is a disaster, just look at this mess!

Tomorrow I've got thirty people to feed,
They expect all the trimmings - who cares what I need!
My feet are both blistered, I've got cramps in my legs,
The dog just knocked over a bowl full of eggs.

There's a knock at the door and the telephone's ringing;
Frosting drips on the counter as the microwave's dinging.
Two pies in the oven, dessert's almost done;
My cookbook is soiled with butter and crumbs.

I've had all I can stand, I can't take anymore;
Then walks in my husband, spilling rum on the floor.
He heaves and he wobbles, his balance unsteady;
Then grins as he chuckles "The eggnog is ready!"

He looks all around and with total regret,
Says "What's takin' so long? Aren't you through in here yet??"
As quick as a flash I reach for a knife;
He loses an earlobe; I wanted his life!

He flees from the room in terror and pain,
And screams "MY GOD WOMAN, YOU'RE GOING INSANE!!"
Now what was I doing, and what is that smell?
Oh, shit, it's the pies!! They're burned all to hell!!

I hate to admit when I make a mistake,
But I put them on BROIL instead of on BAKE.
What else can go wrong?? Is there still more ahead??
If this is good living, I'd rather be dead.

Lord, don't get me wrong, I love holidays;
They just leave me exhausted, all shaky and dazed.
But I promise you one thing, If I live 'til next year,
You won't find me pulling my hair out in here.

I'll hire a maid, a cook, and a waiter;
And if that doesn't work,
I'LL HAVE IT ALL CATERED!
HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

My cousin sent me this and it made me laugh. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

I'm back... Halloween Photos

So, after weeks of my computer being down (yes, again)... I'm back. I am behind, so bear with me. Here are some pictures of the girls Halloween costumes. Ashley was Gabriella from High School Musical and Megan Jo was Cinderella.

I took them Trick or Treating to my work first, then we did one of those Trunk or Treats at the church up the street from our house. We then went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to visit. We were done with the Trick or Treating by around 7:30 and they both made out with more candy than I thought they needed, but, it was Halloween...

Pumpkins 2008

One of our yearly traditions in our circle of friends is to get together and carve pumpkins with the kids... It is always fun and very eventful. This year it was just the Rencher family and our family. With 8 or so kids and 4 adults, it was kind of chaotic, but really fun. Here are some of the pictures and the final outcome of the hard work. :)
Everyone's final product

Happy 9th Birthday AJ!!

So, I am late as always, but better late than never, right?? Or however that old saying goes...

AJ is 9 years old today, and I cannot believe it. I remember being at the hospital with your mom and dad the day you were born. I snuck your mom in a bag of peanut M&M's and after she ate them, she went and puked 'em all up. hehe. You came into this world kicking and screaming, and are still at it.

Happy Birthday my sweet little blue eyed nephew!! You are a wonderful nephew, cousin and the hospital now knows you by name!

A Weekend Full of Princesses

This past weekend, I had my cousin's daughters, Jade and Kambrin Jo. We went to AJ's last football game (pictures are forthcoming), played dishes and had a BBQ with some friends. My computer is really slow tonight, so sorry for the short post, but enjoy the pictures. :)
