So, my computer has been down for about two weeks. Somehow, my six month old Dell laptop totally died. So, after a new motherboard, hard drive and optical drive (which I learned is a CD/DVD drive), I am back up and running (for now).
So, my posts are so up to date right now, but I am working on it.
Our gaggle of friends has nights where we get together and hang out for dinner, drinks and usually just sitting around and chatting. JD came up with the name of "hamily fome", versus, "family home". It is fun and has been a tradition for about the past 3/4 years. It usually happens on a whim when Jen, Jennetta and I (aka Janandafer) call one another up (or email) and asks
"what's for dinner?" It often involves the three of us saying, well, I have chicken... I have ranch dressing... I have tomatillos, let's make smothered burritos. Okay, it is not always that well - orchestrated, but you get the picture...
So, on one of our last hamily fome's, we ate and drank (of course) and played Rock Band... We made Jason bring his game. For those of you, who are like me, and had not a clue as to what this game was, it is similar to Guitar Hero. There is a drummer, guitarist, singer and bass player. You get points for playing along to various rock songs. Everyone has to be in sync with the computer or you can kill yourself off or the entire band. Needless to say, I don't have a musical bone in my body, and it showed. I stunk, but it was lots of fun.
Here are some photos of that night. Jen played drums (which are the hardest instrument) and she rocked (literally). I have to give Jen kudos ...

We also had the kids to entertain us. They played in the driveway, with sidewalk chalk and made us some wonderful chalk art.

I gotta play me some rock band too, BUT NO SINGING!
Actually, let me practice on guitar hero. When I am above 50% I'll join in on Rock Band!
Looks like you guys had fun!
Did you take any video at all? Would love to hear JD try and sing! AJ with the noddle reminds me of Dennis's cousin who would put one thru his nose and cough it back out his mouth and use it like dental floss! Such talented people in this world.
you gotta love rock band. I can't get enough of it. It makes me feel like a little kid all over again. JD is pretty brave to sing. The drums take a little getting use to for me. looks like you guys had fun!
