Sisters

July 25th~
Anyhow, the rodeo was fun (once it cooled down). It was outside and was really hot for the first few hours. Once the sun set and it cooled off, it was more bearable. We didn't get home until after 11 p.m. (on a school nite) and didn't even stay for the fireworks.
We made up for this on the following night. The Duncans invited us to their home to BBQ and to light off fireworks for the kids. Here are some pictures that I snapped

The three amigas
Megan and Tayler (Steph's daughter) played really well. They are both 3 and are only about 2 months apart. It was fun to watch them play and giggle. We also had Hailey (Rencher's daughter) for the weekend. She, Ashley and Megan played and fought all weekend.
I think little girls sure are fun to watch play. They played Barbies, house, dishes, dress up... you name it. They have their own little conversations and are so bossy to eachother. One minute they are fighting, the next they are having a ball playing Princesses.
You can't help but loving these sweet little things...

Hamily Fome
Our gaggle of friends has nights where we get together and hang out for dinner, drinks and usually just sitting around and chatting. JD came up with the name of "hamily fome", versus, "family home". It is fun and has been a tradition for about the past 3/4 years. It usually happens on a whim when Jen, Jennetta and I (aka Janandafer) call one another up (or email) and asks
"what's for dinner?" It often involves the three of us saying, well, I have chicken... I have ranch dressing... I have tomatillos, let's make smothered burritos. Okay, it is not always that well - orchestrated, but you get the picture...

We also had the kids to entertain us. They played in the driveway, with sidewalk chalk and made us some wonderful chalk art.

A new page...

So, I haven't scrapped a page since we moved to the new house just over 3 weeks ago. I thought it was time. These pictures were taken of the girls on Father's Day at Dan's parents house. His mom and dad have a really nice, green backyard. Since, we don't have a yard just yet... I love any yard that has anything in it besides rocks, dirt and weeds.
Missing Our Floyd ~

Since we still have a yard to develop and are without a fence, we had to send Floyd off to Corrine to Jeff's house. The girls sure miss him. You couldn't ask for a friendlier, more loving lab. And yes, even though he is a little crazy, we still love him.
