a FuN fIlLeD wEeKeNd!!

We had a fun and busy weekend. My cousin's daughter, Jade (who might as well be my niece) spent the weekend with us. We had busy days and late nights. Here are some of the pics:Megan Jo being tired and grumpy on the couch... I really don't think she wanted her picture taken at this precise moment.
Ashley and Jade listening to Ashley's MP3 player together. Jade was also simultaneously talking to Kassie Jo on the phone. She is already multi - tasking...
Jade's close up
Today, we took flowers to my mom's gravesite. Jade, Ashley and Megan visited with Grandma Debbie for a bit. Ashley told me she could hear grandma's spirit talking to her, telling her she loved her. It made me tear up for a minute. This was also Jade's first visit to see grandma Debbie's grave. We sat and visited with her for a minute. It was a nice afternoon for it.

Congrats Shannon and Josh!

I just found my sweet cousin, Shannon Jo, set up her own blog. I stole this picture. She and her fiance, Josh, live in Colorado. They are to be married sometime next year. Congrats to the both of you! Can't wait to see you again. :)

More New Pages...

This picture was taken at Grandma and Grandpa Strong's house. The girls just love playing their piano...

Yeah, I know. Pretty boring post huh? But I just love finding new freebie downloads and working with them. I have my neice (might as well be) Jade over this weekend and got some cute pics of the girls playing together...

Scrapping Away the Weekend

I had some help from my little ladies scrapping this page with a picture taken of them with Grandma and Grandpa Strong tonight. We went up to their house for a visit today and I snapped some photos. With their help, we put this very colorful page together. Ashley and Megan told me what embellishments to pick and to where to put them. They are discovering how fun scrapping can be.

I also downloaded this new kit from The Shabby Princess and made this page of some of the girls pictures.

This weekend was Labor Day weekend and was really pretty low - key. We have been working on the yard (see pics below) to put in our sprinkler system. With the rain over the past two days, the most work we got done was on Saturday. Dan rented a mini - tractor thing and dug the trenches, he got the pipe laid and sprinkler heads attached. We started filling the trenches in Saturday but took a break to go to a rodeo, and AJ's football game. Then ended up having dinner with friends. . . So then came Sunday and Monday and lots of rain...

Daddy's Shoes and other ramblings

Megan Jo, my sweet little 3 1/2 year old, is an absolute Daddy's Girl. And to prove it, here is a picture I took the other day of Megan's shoes. She put shoes into Daddy's shoes. She has done this before with her shoes, with mine too, but I just thought that this was too cute this time around.

We went to my nephew, Alex's, football game over the past two Saturdays. Dan took some pictures on his 35 mm camera that I am still in the process of developing. I will get those posted soon, but here are some I took with my digital camera, so they are not that great.
Alex is the superstar of his team and plays the entire game. Alex's dad, JD, is also one of the coaches for the team. The past two games that we have been to, they have lost, but AJ sure plays his heart out and loves football...

KaMbRiN jO

These pictures of Kambrin Jo, who just turned one, were taken a few weeks ago. I think she is just the sweetest baby girl ever, not to mention that she looks just like her Momma. I scrapped this page this morning and had fun working on it.
I have been downloading all sorts of freebies today and have to tear myself away from the computer for awhile to go to my nephew's football game.

Trying desperately to decorate...

Since we moved in to the new house, I have been racking my brain to come up with decorating ideas. I have tried bribing two incredible ladies (you know who you are) to come and help me... I am stuck. I don't know what it is. I am just not coming up with any cute ideas... Whitey has been kind of enough to not only buy me a cuter than hell flag, but has been emailing me cute ideas, some that I did steal...

But, here are some pictures of what I have done. Although, it's nowhere what I am envisioning, it's at least something...
